Oxidation and haziness on otherwise clear headlight lenses act as a barrier to the headlight beam, significantly reducing your nighttime and adverse-weather visibility and compromising overall driving safety.
Even though micro-cracking of the headlight lenses is not repairable, keeping the lenses free of obstruction and restoring as much clarity as possible can greatly improve nighttime visibility and help keep you safer on the road.
Our Headlight Restoration Process
1. Protect Surrounding Areas
To ensure surrounding areas are not negativity affected we mask all surrounding areas with tape.
3. Sand headlights with 1000 Grit
Here we are still removing some of the lighter oxidation while refining the larger sanding marks.
5. Sand headlights with 3000 Grit
We take the extra step to further refine the sanding marks to make the compounding step much faster but also to ensure true clarity to the lenses.
7. Polishing the headlights
Some say this step can be skipped. Maybe sometimes, but we don’t want to miss a chance to give the clearest lens possible — we treat every car like our own.
2. Sand headlight with 800 Grit
This step removes heavy oxidation without creating massive grooves in the plastic.
4. Sand headlights with 2000 Grit
In this step we start refining the sanding marks into a finer grade allowing for a better result when we get into compounding the headlight.
6. Compounding the headlights
Compounding takes those almost clear sanded headlight lenses and makes them transparent while still leaving opportunity for clarity.
7. Protection
Don’t leave restored headlights unprotected — they can oxidize in months. We apply a ceramic coating to keep them clear, glossy, and protected.
Headlight Restoration FAQ’s

Headlight restorations take 60 minutes; however, we request the vehicle to stay for 2 hours in order to allow the ceramic coating to cure before being driven.
