Engine Bay Cleaning in Orange County, CA

Keep your engine bay looking fresh

Need some TLC, just purchased a car or plan on selling a car?

A clean engine bay without a doubt will keep your car looking better but it can also help diagnose it faster and keeping you safer on the road. Here are some of the reasons you need an engine bay cleaning.

Detection of issues: a clean engine bay makes it much easier to identify leaks, cracked hoses and worn belts. Buildup of oils and grease can greatly increase fire risks. Rumor has it your automotive repair technician will also love you.

Cooling System Efficiency: Dirt and grime can act as insulators trapping heat, removing that debris and dirt allows the cooling system to work as designed also helping those components life.

Prevent Corrosion & Damage: road salts, dirt and oil build up can cause rust and damage plastic electrical connectors that lead to malfunctions.

Rodent Deterrent: Engine bays are much warmer areas of the car and accessible from the outside, creating a cozy area for rodents to nest. Regularly cleaning the engine bay reduces the risk of pests checking through wiring since those nesting materials are likely to be removed on a regular basis.

Retain resale value: Spotless engine bays scream “meticulously maintained” for potential buyers. Often resulting in less haggling and better sale price.

Engine Cleaning Process

Cleaning an engine bay can potentially cause issues; however, with the right tools, proper knowledge, and careful skill, you can greatly reduce the likelihood of problems.

Inspection: Being proactive and properly looking at all components helps us identify potential problems and determine what areas need more attention.

Protection: Before getting started during our inspection we determine what components need to be covered which can be items like batteries, and air intakes etc.

Wash: Depending on the severity of dirt and grime found during the inspection process we will use degreasers, all-purpose cleaners and our presoak process before agitating. After agitating we use as little water as possible to rinse away dirt that has been lifted.

Dry: We will blow most of the water way after the was process

Dressing: The final step we take is applying dressing to the plastics in the engine bay leaving a very pleasing satin finish.
